【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군 청소년 국제교류단이 중국 치타이허시 방문 일정을 성공적으로 마무리하고 17일 귀국했다.
교류단은 지난 13일부터 4박 5일간 우호 교류도시인 중국 치타이허시에서 추진한 청소년 국제교류 활동을 통해 문화·교육·역사를 아우르는 다양한 프로그램을 소화했다.
이번 교류에는 지역 청소년 12명과 인솔 공무원 4명 등 총 16명이 참여했으며, 참가자들은 치타이허시 현지 가정에서 홈스테이를 하며 제5초등학교 학생들과 공동 수업과 체험 활동을 진행했다.
또래 간 교류를 중심으로 한 프로그램을 통해 자연스러운 소통과 상호 이해의 시간을 가졌다.
교류단은 일정 초반 하얼빈을 방문해 안중근 기념관 등을 찾아 역사적 의미를 되새기며 국제교류의 폭을 넓혔다.
이후 치타이허시에서는 공식 환영식을 시작으로, 쇼트트랙 금메달 선수를 다수 배출한 도시 특성을 살린 챔피언관과 빙상훈련장을 관람하며 지역의 정체성과 문화적 자산을 살펴봤다.
아울러 박물관 견학을 통해 치타이허시의 역사와 문화를 이해하고, 코딩 체험과 중국 애니메이션 관람 등 현대 교육·문화 프로그램에도 참여했다.
물만두와 탕후루 만들기 체험, 빙설 체험장 방문 등 체험형 일정도 이어지며 ‘빙설도시’의 매력을 직접 느끼는 기회가 됐다.
참가 청소년들은 “짧은 기간이었지만 서로의 문화를 이해하고 우정을 쌓을 수 있었던 소중한 경험이었다”며 “이번 국제교류가 앞으로의 성장에 큰 도움이 될 것 같다”고 소감을 전했다.
군 관계자는 “이번 교류는 청소년들이 세계를 직접 체험하며 글로벌 감각을 키우는 계기가 됐다”며 “앞으로도 우호 도시와의 지속적인 국제교류를 통해 미래 인재 양성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
