이승원 세종시 경제부시장은 19일 관내 초·중·고등학교장들과 함께 학생 중심의 교육환경 조성과 학교 운영 전반에 대한 협력방안을 논의했다고 밝혔다.
세종시청 집현실에서 열린 소통 간담회에서 열린 이날 간담회에는 이승원 경제부시장과 초중고 교장 14명, 세종시교육청 관계자 등이 참석했다.
이 자리에서 이들은 교육 현장의 불편 사항 등 애로사항과 건의 사항을 공유한 뒤 해결 방안을 논의하고 시 교육경비 지원사업과 세종시 교육 현안에 대한 폭넓은 의견을 교환했다.
학교장들은 통학로 인도 설치 및 진입로 확장, 돌봄시설 확충, 어린이놀이시설 확대, 학교 인근 환경미화 등 학생들이 쾌적하고 안전한 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 시 차원의 적극적인 지원을 요청했다.
시는 관련 부서와 건의 사항을 긴밀히 협의해 적극 반영될 수 있도록 조치한다는 계획이다.
또한 올해는 법정전출금 외에 비법정전출금 32억 원 규모를 예산 편성해 교육경비 지원사업을 추진한다.
이를 통해 중고생 교복비, 통학차량, 통학로 안전지킴이, 진로박람회 등을 지원할 예정이다.
