고양특례시는 설 명절을 앞두고 시민들이 안심하고 식품을 구매할 수 있도록 오는 23일까지 설 명절 성수식품과 축산물에 대한 안전 점검을 실시한다.

이번 점검은 설 명절 기간 소비가 급증하는 제수용·선물용 식품 및 축산물의 위생과 안전 관리를 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.
점검 대상은 명절 음식을 취급하는 식품제조가공업소, 대형마트, 전통시장, 건강기능식품판매업소, 축산물 판매업소 등 총 100여 개소다.
시는 경기도 특별사법경찰단과 공조하여 관련 법령 준수 여부를 확인하며 주요 점검 항목은 작업장 위생 관리 상태, 냉장·냉동식품 보관 기준 준수, 소비기한 경과 제품 사용 여부, 자가품질 검사 실시 여부, 포장육 및 선물세트의 표시기준 준수 등이며 점검 과정에서 위반 사항이 적발될 경우 행정처분을 진행할 방침이다.
또한 시민들이 많이 찾는 떡과 전 등 조리식품을 비롯해 제수용 식육 및 포장육에 대한 수거 검사도 병행하며 검사 결과 부적합 판정을 받은 식품은 즉시 회수하고 폐기 조치하여 시중 유통을 차단할 계획이다.
고양시 관계자는 명절 기간 성수식품 소비가 집중되는 만큼 유통 단계부터 조리 환경까지 철저히 점검하여 시민들의 먹거리 안전 확보에 최선을 다하겠다고 밝혔다.
