[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시와 진주문화관광재단은 21일 시청 시민홀에서 제25회 진주논개제 제전위원회를 열고 축제 일정과 운영 방향을 확정하며 본격적인 준비에 돌입했다.
진주논개제 제전위원회는 문화·예술·청년·유관기관 등 각계 인사 34명으로 구성돼 축제 기획과 행사 주관, 예산·결산 승인 등 전반을 총괄한다.
이날 총회에서 제전위원 위촉장 수여와 함께 올해 논개제를 5월 2일부터 5일까지 4일간 진주성 및 진주대첩역사공원 일원에서 개최하기로 결정했다.
또 제25회 진주논개제를 이끌 제전위원장에는 LG전자 사장과 LG사이언스파크 대표를 역임한 안승권 연암공과대학교 총장이 새롭게 위촉됐다.
안승권 위원장은 역사와 전통을 계승하되 교방문화를 현대적으로 재해석해 진주논개제를 새롭게 도약하는 전통예술축제로 만들겠다고 포부를 전했다.
이번 논개제는 헌다례와 의암별제, 진주검무 등 본행사와 교방 퍼포먼스, 현대적 연희 콘텐츠를 결합한 다채로운 프로그램을 선보일 예정이다.
진주시는 교방 플레이존과 스튜디오 설치, 피크닉 존 확대 등 관람객 편의시설을 개선해 시민과 관광객이 함께 즐기는 봄축제로 완성할 계획이다.
