파주시가 문산행복센터 내에서 개별 운영되던 아이사랑놀이터와 장난감도서관을 하나로 통합해 새롭게 단장한다.
시는 문산행복센터 3층 폐관한 행복어린이도서관 공간을 활용해 약 330㎡ 규모의 '아이사랑놀이터·장난감도서관 문산관'을 조성한다고 밝혔다.
그동안 장난감도서관은 임시 시설로 운영됐고, 아이사랑놀이터는 2012년 개관 이후 시설 노후화가 심각해 개선이 시급한 상황이었다.
이에 시는 두 시설을 통합 이전해 이용 편의성과 안전성을 높이기로 했다.
새로 문을 여는 통합 시설은 파주시에 거주하는 0~5세 영유아를 대상으로 운영된다.
화요일부터 금요일까지는 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지, 토요일은 오전 9시부터 오후 4시까지 이용할 수 있으며 월요일과 일요일은 휴관한다.
2월부터 시작되는 공사를 통해 내부에는 영아와 유아의 발달 단계를 고려한 역할놀이 공간, 블록놀이 공간, 신체놀이 공간 등 다양한 놀이시설이 들어선다.
이를 통해 아이들의 창의력과 신체 발달을 돕고, 부모들에게는 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 육아 지원 공간이 마련될 전망이다.
통합 문산관은 공사 완료 후 오는 3월 중 개관할 계획이다.
김진아 보육아동과장은 "이번 통합 이전을 통해 영유아와 부모가 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 environment에서 놀이와 소통을 즐길 수 있기를 바란다"며 "앞으로도 아이 키우기 좋은 파주시 조성을 위해 다양한 육아 지원 정책을 추진하겠다"고 말했다.
