[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군은 21일 지역 농업과 식량산업의 체계적 육성을 위한 '합천군 식량산업 5개년 종합계획'을 농림축산식품부로부터 최종 승인을 받았다.
이번 승인을 통해 합천군은 수립한 식량산업 중장기 계획의 타당성과 실행력을 공식적으로 인정받았다.
특히 식량산업 분야에서 중장기 로드맵을 갖춘 지자체로서 정책 신뢰도를 확보했다는 점에서 의미가 더욱 크다.
해당 5개년 종합계획은 합천군과 지역농협, 농업법인, 품목별 농업인들이 참여하는 거버넌스를 구성해 지역 여건 분석과 현장 의견 수렴을 바탕으로 △식량산업 기반 강화 △생산·가공·유통 체계 정립 △안정적인 농가 소득 기반 구축 등을 목표로 수립됐으며 향후 관련 공모사업 및 국비 예산 확보에도 긍정적인 효과가 기대된다.
한호상 농업기술센터소장은 "이번 최종 승인은 합천군의 중장기 식량산업 정책이 공식적으로 인정받은 결과"며 "승인된 계획을 바탕으로 연차별 세부사업을 차질 없이 추진해 우리 지역 농업의 경쟁력을 높이고 농업인의 소득 증대에 집중하겠다"고 말했다.
합천군은 앞으로 승인된 종합계획에 따라 관계기관과 농업인과의 협력을 강화하고 식량산업 육성 정책을 단계적으로 추진해 나갈 예정이다.
