[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 제7기 김해시 시민명예감사관 22명이 23일 위촉식을 갖고 본격적인 활동에 들어갔다. 

이번에 위촉된 22명의 시민명예감사관은 읍·면·동장의 추천을 받아 사회적 신망이 높고, 지역주민의 불편사항에 대해 누구보다 관심이 많은 시민들이다. 

향후 2년간 행정 사각지대에 놓인 시민 불편사항을 발굴하고, 생생한 현장의 목소리를 시에 전달하는 ‘소통 가교’ 역할을 하게 된다. 

이날 위촉식에서는 시민명예감사관들은 사명감을 갖고 직분에 충실할 것을 맹세하는 선서문을 낭독하고 시민의 눈높이에서 행정을 바라보고 공동체 가치에 기반한 공익신고 활동 사례를 공유하는 시간을 가지고 향후 활동방향에 대해 논의하는 시간을 가졌다. 

김해시 시민명예감사관 제도는 지난 2014년 시작돼 올해로 7기를 맞이하면서, 그간 전국체전 개최 전 김해종합운동장 시설 안전점검, 우수기 도로변 배수로 막힘에 대한 불편사항 신고, 공사현장의 비산먼지 등 생활 밀착형 공익신고 활동에 앞장서 왔다. 

특히 올해에는 시민명예감사관 제도의 내실을 기하기 위해 ▲2026년 개관 예정 주요 시설물의 사전 안전점검 ▲시민명예감사관의 자긍심 고취와 역량 강화를 위한 역량강화 워크숍 ▲읍면동 종합감사 및 청렴캠페인 참여 등의 활동을 추진할 계획이며, 시민 중심의 감사행정을 지속적으로 강화해 나갈 방침이다. 

김해시 관계자는 “ 시민 한분 한분의 꿈이 이루어지는 2050년 도시 미래 비전을 실현하는 데 있어 시민명예감사관의 역할이 매우 중요하다. ”며 “ 행정이 미처 살피지 못하는 현장의 고충을 가감 없이 전달해, 행정과 시민을 잇는 소통 가교역할을 담당해 주실 것을 당부드린다. ”고 전했다.
