남구는 지난 21일 한성연합내과의원과 장기요양 재택의료센터 지정 및 통합돌봄 업무협약을 맺었으며, 이달 23일 ‘찾아가는 의료·돌봄 통합서비스’ 운영에 들어간다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약에 따라 한성연합내과의원은 남구 최초의 장기요양 재택의료센터로 지정됐다. 의료진이 직접 대상자 가정을 방문해 의료서비스를 제공하며, 지역 거점 역할도 맡는다. 남구는 서비스 대상자 발굴과 연계, 행정 지원, 운영 모니터링을 담당한다.
서비스는 남구에 거주하는 재가 장기요양수급자 중 이동이 어려운 고령자를 대상으로 제공된다. 주요 내용으로는 의사가 집으로 찾아가 진료와 처방을 하고, 간호사가 방문해 간호 서비스를 제공한다. 또, 사회복지 연계로 요양과 돌봄 서비스가 이어지며, 가족과 보호자를 위한 정기 교육 및 상담도 진행한다.
남구는 이번 서비스 도입으로 기존에 의료·요양·복지가 분리돼 제공되던 문제를 개선하고, 가정에서 통합지원을 받을 때 만성질환 악화 예방은 물론 응급실 방문과 불필요한 입원도 줄일 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. 빠른 고령화가 진행 중인 지역 특성을 감안하면, 의료 접근성 향상과 함께 가족 돌봄 부담을 완화하는 효과도 있을 것으로 내다봤다.
이번 재택의료센터 지정은 2026년 3월 시행 예정인 ‘의료·요양 등 지역 돌봄의 통합지원에 관한 법률’과도 맞물린다. 남구는 법 시행에 앞서 지역 기반 통합돌봄 모델을 선제적으로 구축하는 모범 사례가 될 것으로 평가하고 있다.
오효진 한성연합내과의원 원장은 “남구에서 처음으로 장기요양 재택의료센터로 지정된 만큼, 책임감을 가지고 지역 재택의료 모델을 만들어가겠다”고 말했다. 조재구 남구청장도 “이번 협약으로 주민들이 살던 곳에서 의료와 돌봄을 함께 받을 수 있는 기반이 마련됐다”며 “앞으로도 지역 의료기관과 협력을 넓혀 고령자 통합돌봄 체계를 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
남구는 이번 시범운영 성과를 토대로 서비스 대상자 확대와 추가 의료기관 참여 등 단계적 사업 확대를 계획하고 있다.

Nam-gu District Mayor Cho Jae-gu also stated, "This agreement establishes a foundation for residents to receive medical care and care in their homes. We will continue to expand our collaboration with local medical institutions to strengthen our integrated senior care system."
Based on the success of this pilot program, Nam-gu plans to gradually expand the program, expanding the service recipients and including additional medical institutions.
