한국장학재단, 차세대 학자금통합지원시스템 구축 추진TF 발족

【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=한국장학재단(이사장 배병일)은 지난 22일 ‘전사적 차세대 시스템 구축을 위한 추진 태스크포스(TF)’ 발대식을 열고 차세대 학자금통합지원시스템 구축을 위한 본격적인 활동에 돌입했다고 밝혔다.

이번 발대식은 지난해 12월 예비타당성 조사를 통과한 총사업비 3,003억 원 규모의 ‘차세대 학자금통합지원시스템 구축사업’을 성공적으로 추진하기 위해 마련됐다. 재단 전 부서가 참여하는 협력 체계를 공고히 하고, 사업 추진의 실행력을 높이기 위한 취지다.

차세대 추진TF는 이사장 직속 조직으로 운영되며, 총 21개 부서에서 56명의 전문 인력이 참여하는 대규모 전사 조직으로 구성됐다. TF는 향후 1년간 차세대 시스템 구축을 위한 전략 방향과 로드맵을 수립하고, 상세 요구사항 도출 및 검증 등 종합적인 정보전략계획(ISMP) 수립 업무를 수행하게 된다. 이를 통해 2029년 시스템 오픈을 목표로 하는 본 사업의 기초 설계를 담당한다.

차세대 시스템에는 인공지능(AI)과 클라우드 등 최신 정보기술이 도입될 예정이다. 매 학기 반복되던 학자금 신청 절차를 한 번의 신청으로 졸업 시까지 자동 처리하는 ‘지급주의’ 방식으로 전환하고, 24시간 무중단 서비스와 AI 기반 초개인화 상담을 제공해 이용자 편의성을 대폭 강화한다는 계획이다.

배병일 한국장학재단 이사장은 “이번 발대식은 차세대 시스템의 성공적 구축을 위해 재단의 모든 부서가 하나로 뜻을 모은 의미 있는 자리”라며 “단순한 시스템 개편을 넘어 청년들이 체감할 수 있는 획기적인 서비스 혁신을 이룰 수 있도록 모든 역량을 결집해 달라”고 강조했다.

한편 한국장학재단은 2009년 설립된 교육부 산하 준정부기관으로, 경제적 여건과 관계없이 누구나 능력과 의지에 따라 고등교육의 기회를 가질 수 있도록 국가장학금, 학자금대출, 국가근로장학금 등 다양한 학자금 지원 사업을 추진하고 있다. 연간 11조 원이 넘는 예산을 바탕으로 미래 인재 양성을 위한 종합적인 지원을 이어가고 있다.

Furthermore, user convenience will be significantly enhanced by providing 24/7, uninterrupted service and AI-based, hyper-personalized counseling.
