청와대가 26일 "이재명 대통령이 한국인들을 건드리면 패가망신한다는 사실을 동남아 현지 언론과 공조해 적극 알리라고 초국가 범죄 특별대응 TF에 지시했다"고 전했다.
강유정 대변인은 이날 오후 서면 브리핑을 통해 "이 대통령이 이날 오전 정부서울청사 창성동 별관 초국가 범죄 특별대응 TF 사무실을 예고 없이 방문해 직원들을 격려하며 이같이 말했다"고 전했다.
초국가 범죄 대응TF는 국정원·금융위·검찰청·국세청·관세청·경찰청·외교부·법무부·방송통신위·한국인터넷진흥원(KISA) 등 10개 기관이 참여 중인 마약·스캠·온라인 도박·디지털 성범죄 등 초국가 범죄 대응을 위한 범정부 컨트롤 타워다.
이 대통령은 "각종 스캠 범죄가 국민들 삶을 파괴하고 갈수록 지능화되고 있다"며 "앞으로도 더욱 엄정 대처하라"며 "가족들과 떨어져 열악한 환경 속에서도 고생이 많다. 여러분들 노고에 국민 모두 감사하게 생각하고 있으니 자부심을 가져도 좋다"고 했다.
그러면서 "단속 실적을 널리 홍보하고 현지 언론에도 많이 알리는 게 좋을 것 같다"며 현지 전담반에 필요한 지원을 약속하며 예산·인력의 적극 지원을 지시했다.
