26일 원주시에 따르면, 시는 지난해 사상 첫 예산 2조 원 시대를 연 데 이어, 올해도 가용 재원을 전략적으로 배분해 인공지능(AI) 등 미래 먹거리 산업 선점과 시민 체감형 현안 해결에 행정력을 집중하고 있다.
■ 역대 최대 국·도비 확보... 첨단산업 가속도 원주시는 국세 수입 감소라는 악재 속에서도 시장이 직접 챙기는 ‘국·도비 확보추진단’을 가동해 전년 대비 480억 원 증가한 7,633억 원의 국·도비를 확보했다. 특히 원주시 직접 사업 기준으로는 역대 최대 규모인 6,241억 원의 국비를 따냈다.
