이번 장학금은 충청북도와 뉴스1, 충북대학교 국가위기관리연구소가 공동 주관한 ‘2025년 안전문화 실천 우수사례 공모전’에서 ‘한마음 한뜻 민관 협력을 통한 365 안전증평 조성’을 주제로 발표해 우수상을 수상하며 받은 시상금으로 마련됐다.
안전총괄팀은 현장 중심의 안전 정책을 펼치며 군민의 생명과 재산 보호에 주력해왔고, 이번 공모전 수상을 통해 그 성과를 대외적으로 인정받았다.
팀원들은 수상의 기쁨을 지역사회와 공유하고 지역의 미래인 학생들에게 희망을 전하기로 뜻을 모아 시상금 전액을 기탁을 결정했다.
김성현 안전총괄팀장은 “현장에서의 노력이 지역 학생들에게 도움이 될 수 있어 뜻깊다”며 “앞으로도 안전 행정의 책임을 다하는 동시에 지역사회와 함께하는 나눔에도 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
