[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주시가 시민들이 각종 재난 또는 안전사고로 상해를 입었을 경우 보험금을 청구할 수 있는 ‘생활안전보험’을 갱신 가입했다.
보험 혜택은 양주시에 주민등록이 되어있는 시민(등록외국인 포함)은 별도의 가입절차 없이 보험에 자동 가입되며, 사고 발생 시 보험금을 청구할 수 있다.
보장 항목으로는 ▲상해 사망(교통상해 제외) ▲자전거사고 사망 ▲자연재해상해 진단위로금(일사병, 열사병 포함) ▲사회재난상해 진단위로금(감염병 제외) ▲스쿨존 교통상해 부상치료비 ▲노인보호구역 교통상해 부상치료비 ▲상해 진단위로금(교통상해, 자연재해 및 사회재난 제외) ▲자전거사고 상해진단위로금 ▲가스사고 사망 ▲가스사고 후유장해 ▲폭발·화재·붕괴·산사태 사고 재난비용 등 총 11개 항목이다.
특히 올해부터는 보장 항목과 보장 금액이 확대됐다. 자전거 사고로 인한 상해 진단위로금은 기존 10만 원에서 진단 주수별로 최대 30만 원까지 상향됐으며, 가스사고 사망 및 후유장해 항목과 노인보호구역 교통상해 부상치료비 항목은 새롭게 신설됐다.
생활안전보험은 사고 발생일로부터 3년 이내에 신청해야 하며, 피해를 입은 시민이 양주시 생활안전보험 콜센터(☎ 1522-3556)를 통해 직접 신청하면 된다.
