파주시가 2026년 신학기 신설학교 개교를 앞두고 학생전용 통학버스 '파프리카'의 노선과 배차시간을 개선한다.
시는 올해 새로 문을 여는 다율고등학교, 운정중앙중학교, 별하람중학교 인근에 정류장을 신설하고, 지난해 12월 실시한 이용자 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 운정권 하교 노선인 유(U)1·유(U)2 노선의 배차시간을 조정할 예정이다.

박한수 버스정책과장은 "신설학교 개교에 따른 학생들의 통학 불편을 최소화하기 위해 선제적으로 대응하는 것이 중요하다"며 "파프리카 운영 데이터를 면밀히 분석해 학생 중심의 맞춤형 통학 서비스를 지속적으로 개선하겠다"고 밝혔다.
'파프리카'는 파주시와 경기도파주교육지원청이 협력해 2024년부터 운영하고 있는 전국 최초의 학생전용 통학순환버스다.
지난해에는 운정권 2개 노선에서 북부권 5개 노선을 추가해 현재 총 7개 노선으로 확대 운영되고 있다.
시는 앞으로도 학생과 학부모, 학교 관계자의 의견을 적극 수렴해 파프리카 노선과 배차 체계를 지속적으로 보완하고, 안전하고 편리한 통학 환경을 조성해 나갈 계획이다.
