【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 유아 맞춤형 발달지원 사업을 2026년부터 보편적·예방적으로 확대한다.
시교육청은 이를 위해 오는 1월 30일부터 유치원과 어린이집 유아를 대상으로 활동할 코칭단 50여 명을 모집한다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 조기 정서, 심리, 언어 지원을 통해 유아 발달의 사각지대를 해소하고, 예방적 지원을 강화하기 위한 취지다. 지원 대상은 발달 지원이 필요한 유아와 이주배경 유아 등 약 400명 규모다. 특히, 발달선별검사 결과가 높더라도 기관장의 추천이 있으면 사업에 참여할 수 있도록 해 누락을 막는다는 계획이다.
코칭단은 유아별 맞춤형 코칭을 제공하며, 기관을 직접 방문해 한 사례당 30회에서 50회 가량 지원을 펼칠 예정이다. 필요할 경우 외부 전문기관과 연계해 진단 검사와 바우처도 지원한다. 유아의 사회·정서 역량 프로그램 운영, 교사 연수, 부모 대상 양육 교육·상담 등 보편적·예방적 지원도 함께 진행된다.
코칭단 지원서는 1월 30일 오전 9시부터 2월 6일 오후 5시까지 대구시교육청 홈페이지 공고 확인 후 방문 제출하거나 이메일(rani02@korea.kr)로 접수하면 된다. 심리 및 발달 관련 자격증 보유자에게는 우대 혜택이 주어진다.
강은희 대구교육감은 “성장에 결정적인 유아기에 맞춤형 지원을 통해 교육의 사각지대가 생기지 않도록 다각적이고 전문적인 지원에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education will expand its customized early childhood development support program to a universal and preventative approach starting in 2026.
The city office announced on the 28th that it will recruit approximately 50 coaching staff to work with children in kindergartens and daycare centers, beginning January 30th.
