가평군은 지난 28일 군청 회의실에서 ‘2026년 제1회 가평군 지속가능발전위원회’를 개최했다고 29일 밝혔다.
이번 회의는 지난 2024년부터 2025년까지 2년간의 ‘가평군 지속가능발전지표’ 추진 실적을 종합적으로 평가하고, 향후 개선 방안과 정책 방향을 심도 있게 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.

가평군의 지속가능발전 계획은 「지속가능발전기본법」 및 관련 조례를 근간으로 수립된 중장기 정책 지침이다. 군은 현재 경제·사회·환경의 조화로운 발전을 위해 ▲3대 전략 ▲17개 목표 ▲57개 세부 목표 ▲133개 추진 과제를 설정하여 운영 중이다.
이날 위원회에서는 각 분야별 추진 현황을 면밀히 분석하고, 지표 운영의 실효성을 높이기 위한 구체적인 보완책을 모색했다.
군 관계자는 “이번 위원회에서 도출된 전문가 의견을 바탕으로 지속가능발전 지표를 더욱 정교하게 다듬을 것”이라며 “앞으로도 위원회와의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 가평군의 지속가능한 성장을 위한 실행력을 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
