<브레이크뉴스 포천= 이용하 기자> 포천시가 시민들의 목소리를 담은 실질적인 여성친화도시 조성을 위해 시민참여단의 역량을 강화하고 본격적인 활동 준비를 마쳤다.
포천시는 지난 28일 포천시외국인주민지원센터에서 ‘여성친화도시 시민참여단’의 전문성을 높이기 위한 역량강화 교육과 조직 정비를 위한 상반기 정기총회를 개최했다고 29일 밝혔다.
이날 교육에는 경기도여성가족재단 박은숙 강사가 초빙돼 ‘여성친화도시의 이해와 시민참여단의 역할’을 주제로 강연을 펼쳤다. 참여단원들은 국내외 우수 사례를 학습하고, 생활 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 모니터링 기법을 익히며 정책 파트너로서의 기본 소양을 다졌다.

이어진 정기총회에서는 효율적인 운영을 위해 조직을 재정비했다. 특히 투표를 통해 일자리분과와 안전분과를 이끌어갈 분과장을 각각 선출하며 체계적인 활동 기반을 마련했다.
시민참여단은 앞으로 분과장을 중심으로 ▲지역 내 안전 취약지역 모니터링 ▲여성 일자리 창출을 위한 정책 제안 등 시민 생활과 밀접한 과제를 발굴하고 개선하는 데 주력할 예정이다.
시 관계자는 “여성친화도시는 관 주도가 아닌 시민들의 적극적인 관심과 참여가 있을 때 완성된다”며 “시민참여단이 포천시의 든든한 파트너로서 제 역할을 다할 수 있도록 행정적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
