<브레이크 뉴스 가평=이용하 기자> 2026년 병오년 설 명절을 앞두고 가평군 곳곳에서 이웃을 위한 따뜻한 나눔 행렬이 이어지고 있어 지역사회를 훈훈하게 하고 있다.
먼저 가평읍새마을부녀회(회장 고광희)는 최근 가평읍 행정복지센터를 찾아 어려운 이웃을 위해 써달라며 성금 130만 원을 기탁했다. 부녀회는 최근 5년 동안 백미와 성금 기탁, 각종 봉사활동 등 다양한 나눔을 꾸준히 실천해 오고 있다.
고광희 부녀회장은 “설 명절을 맞아 회원들의 따뜻한 마음을 모았다”며 “우리 이웃들이 추운 겨울을 잘 보내셨으면 좋겠다”고 전했다. 이에 장석조 가평읍장은 “부녀회의 헌신에 깊이 감사드리며, 소중한 성금이 지역 복지사업에 잘 쓰이도록 하겠다”고 화답했다.

조종면에서는 지역 기업의 통 큰 기부가 이어졌다. 가평군 소재 운악건설(대표 강영금)은 최근 조종면 행정복지센터를 방문해 성금 100만 원과 홍삼 20박스를 쾌척했다.
강영금 대표는 “소외된 이웃들이 따뜻한 명절을 보내길 바라는 마음으로 성금과 성품을 준비했다”며 “조종면에 온기가 전해지길 바란다”고 말했다. 임진섭 조종면장은 “매년 명절마다 잊지 않고 귀한 기부를 해주셔서 감사하다”며 인사를 전했다.

가평읍 소재 전통주연구개발원도 나눔에 동참했다. 연구원 측은 취약계층을 위해 라면 10박스를 가평읍 행정복지센터에 기탁했다.
전통주연구개발원 관계자는 “지역사회의 일원으로서 이웃을 돕는 일에 마음이 풍요로워짐을 느낀다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 장석조 읍장은 “기탁해 주신 소중한 마음을 담아 성품을 필요한 이웃에게 잘 전달하겠다”고 말했다.
