의정부시 송산1동주민센터는 지난 9일 리하트병원(병원장 이강정)이 행정복지센터를 방문해 ‘100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기’ 운동의 일환으로 성금 500만 원을 기탁했다고 10일 밝혔다.
리하트병원은 일회성 기부에 그치지 않고 매년 ‘사랑릴레이’ 캠페인에 동참하며 지역사회의 든든한 후원자 역할을 자처하고 있다. 평소에도 관내 아동과 노인 등 취약계층을 위한 물품 후원과 성금 지원을 아끼지 않으며 나눔 문화 확산에 앞장서 왔다.

이날 기탁된 성금은 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통해 송산1동 내 저소득 가구와 복지 사각지대에 놓인 위기 가정에 전달되어, 이들이 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있도록 쓰일 예정이다.
이강정 리하트병원장은 “새해를 맞아 우리 주변의 어려운 이웃들에게 조금이나마 희망을 전하고 싶어 이번 나눔을 준비했다”며 “앞으로도 병원 임직원들과 함께 지역사회와 상생하며 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 기탁 소감을 전했다.
