태안 천수만, 미래항공산업 전진기지로 도약 가속

충남 태안 천수만이 미래항공·방산·우주 산업의 전략 거점으로 본격적인 준비 태세에 들어갔다. 충남도는 10일 태안문화예술회관에서 김태흠 충남지사를 비롯해 국회와 연구기관, 글로벌 항공·방산 기업 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 미래항공산업 육성과 투자 촉진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 태안 천수만 B지구 일원에 조성 중인 국방미래항공연구센터를 중심으로 연구·기업 지원 인프라를 연계하고, 해당 지역을 미래항공산업의 실증·제조 거점으로 육성하기 위한 공동 행보의 성격을 지닌다. 충남도는 중앙정부와의 협업을 통해 산업 생태계의 뼈대를 조기에 완성하고, 지역의 새로운 성장 동력을 창출하겠다는 구상을 분명히 했다.
