충청광역연합의회 초광역건설환경위원회, 2026 주요업무계획 점검…

충청광역연합의회 초광역건설환경위원회(위원장 김광운)가 11일 제1차 회의를 열고, 초광역건설환경과의 2026년도 주요업무계획을 청취하며 핵심 지역 현안을 점검했다.

이날 회의에서는 연합사무처로부터 초광역 교통망 구축, 미래 교통수단(UAM) 도입, 균형발전 인프라 확충, 환경·농산 분야 협력 등 주요 과제 추진계획을 보고받고, 실질적 추진 방안에 대한 논의가 이뤄졌다.

이옥규 의원(충북 청주시5, 국민의힘)은 “2026 지방시대 엑스포의 개최지가 확정되지 않은 만큼, 충청권이 개최지로 선정될 수 있도록 충청광역연합이 적극적으로 나서야 한다”며 “개최가 성사될 경우 연합의 주도적 역할과 위상을 확보할 수 있도록 철저히 준비해야 한다”고 강조했다.

안치영 의원(충북, 더불어민주당)은 미래차 산업 혁신지원사업의 확장성에 주목하며 “2027년 이후 사업비 증가에 맞춰 단순한 시제품 개발을 넘어 실제 양산 단계까지 지원이 필요하다”고 제언하고, 이에 대한 충청광역연합의 적극적인 역할을 요청했다.

김광운 위원장(세종시 조치원읍2, 국민의힘)은 UAM 도입 연구용역과 관련해 “중간보고 시기가 선거 일정과 겹치는 만큼, 논의의 충실도를 확보하기 위해 일정을 조정하라”며 “6월 회기 중 중간보고가 이뤄질 수 있도록 준비하라”고 당부했다.

김 위원장은 회의를 마무리하며 “충청광역연합은 이제 출범 초기 단계를 넘어 실질적인 성과를 만들어야 할 시점”이라며 “교통망 확충, 미래 교통수단 도입, 균형발전 추진 등 주요 과제들이 계획에 머물지 않고 눈에 보이는 성과로 이어지도록 연합이 적극적인 중심 역할을 해야 한다”고 강조했다.

한편, 초광역건설환경위원회는 이번 보고를 시작으로 2026년도 주요 정책과 사업이 차질 없이 추진될 수 있도록 상시 점검과 정책적 지원을 이어갈 방침이다.
