<브레이크뉴스 의정부 = 이용하 기자> 의정부시가 시민들의 일상 속에 독서 문화를 뿌리내리기 위해 사서와 시민이 함께 소통하는 특별한 독서 모임을 마련했다.
의정부시는 오는 3월부터 12월까지 공·사립 작은도서관을 중심으로 소규모 독서 모임 프로그램인 ‘소소한 환담’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
‘소소한 환담’은 지역 주민 누구나 참여할 수 있는 열린 모임으로, 깊이 있는 대화와 소통을 위해 회당 최대 8명의 소수 인원으로 진행된다.
특히 올해는 단순한 독서 토론의 틀을 벗어나 야외 피크닉, 음악 및 미술 연계 활동 등 다채로운 프로그램을 도입한다. 이를 통해 시민들이 자연스러운 분위기 속에서 책을 매개로 교류하고 즐길 수 있는 환경을 조성한다는 계획이다.
모임의 활성화를 위해 기록 공유 서비스도 강화한다. 시는 독서 모임에서 나눈 이야기와 사서 추천 도서 등을 담은 ‘소소한 환담 레터’를 격월로 발간해 온라인으로 시민들과 공유할 예정이다.
올해 첫 모임은 오는 3월 4일 오후 7시에 열린다. 토론 도서는 싱어송라이터 한로로의 첫 단편소설 「자몽살구클럽」이 선정됐으며, 문학과 영상, 음악이 어우러진 색다른 형식으로 운영될 예정이다.
참여 신청은 작은도서관 누리집(www.uilib.go.kr/small/)을 통하거나, 각 도서관에 방문 및 전화로 가능하다. 참가비는 무료이며 도서는 참여자가 개별 준비하면 된다.
의정부시 관계자는 “작은도서관이 단순히 책을 읽는 공간을 넘어 시민들이 일상의 즐거움을 나누는 사랑방 역할을 하길 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 일상 속 독서 문화 확산을 위해 다양한 프로그램을 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
