진천군의회는 충북시군의회의장협의회 운영 기금의 집행 잔액을 대한적십자사 충북지사에 ‘적십자 인도주의 사업’을 위한 성금으로 지정기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이에 따라 마련된 총 5,500만 원의 성금은 진천군의회를 포함한 도내 11개 시·군의회에 각각 500만 원씩 배정되었으며, 대한적십자사 충북지사를 통해 관내 재난 구호 활동 및 위기가정 지원 등 지역사회의 가장 필요한 곳에 사용될 예정이다.
