천안중앙시장 끝으로 전통시장 방문 마침표... "사회 양극화 해소 절감"

충남대전통합특별시 출마를 선언한 양승조 예비후보가 보름간의 충남·대전 지역 민생 탐방을 마치고 서민경제 활성화를 위한 정책 행보를 본격화한다.
양 예비후보는 지난 2월 1일부터 16일까지 충남 15개 시군과 대전광역시 내 주요 전통시장을 차례로 방문해 현장 목소리를 직접 청취했다. 16일 마지막 일정인 천안중앙시장 방문을 마친 양 후보는 자신의 SNS를 통해 그간의 소회와 향후 구상을 밝혔다.
양 예비후보는 이번 민생 행보를 통해 확인한 현장의 어려움을 가감 없이 전했다. 그는 "많은 분이 '참으로 어렵다'고 말씀하시는 현장의 목소리에 가슴이 아팠다"며 "우리 사회에 깊게 드리워진 사회 양극화 현상을 다시 한번 절감하는 계기가 됐다"고 회고했다.

지역 정가에서는 양승조 예비후보의 이번 민생 행보를 두고, 충남지사 시절 강조해 온 '저출산·고령화·양극화' 등 3대 위기 극복 철학을 충남·대전 통합이라는 거대 담론에 녹여내기 위한 현장 진단으로 풀이하고 있다.
