대전광역시의회 이금선 교육위원장(국민의힘, 유성구4)이 설 연휴가 끝난 직후인 19일 오후, 유성구 관평동 일대에서 추진 중인 시설녹지변 맨발 산책로 조성사업 현장을 찾아 추진 상황을 직접 확인했다.
이번 점검은 대덕테크노밸리 2단지에서 장배기공원으로 이어지는 약 800m 구간을 중심으로 진행됐다. 현장에는 지역 주민과 시·구청 관계자들이 함께 참여해 사업 진행 현황을 공유하고, 이용 편의 및 환경 개선에 대한 의견을 나눴다.
맨발 산책로 조성사업은 도심 속 완충녹지를 활용해 시민에게 쾌적한 휴식·건강 공간을 제공하기 위한 생활밀착형 녹지사업으로, 총 2억5천만 원이 투입된다. 지난 1월 착공에 들어갔으며, 올해 12월 준공을 목표로 공사가 진행 중이다.
이 위원장은 현장 점검에서 “보행 안전성 확보, 이용 편의시설 배치, 생태환경과의 조화 등 세부사항 하나하나가 시민의 만족도와 직결된다”고 강조하며 “주민들의 목소리를 바탕으로 사업이 충실히 반영될 수 있도록 관계기관과 긴밀히 협조하겠다”고 말했다.
그는 이어 “생활 속에서 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 공간 조성에 집중하고 있으며, 앞으로도 현장에서 답을 찾는 의정활동을 지속하겠다”며 “더 많은 주민이 혜택을 누릴 수 있도록 관련 사업을 점차 확대해 나가겠다”고 덧붙였다.
