이번 헌혈운동은 대한적십자사 충북혈액원과 함께 진행됐다. 많은 장병과 군무원이 자발적으로 참여해 이웃 사랑을 실천했다.
16전비는 헌혈 참여를 독려하기 위해 기념품을 제공하고, 헌혈 버스 4대를 부대 곳곳에 순환 배치했다. 이를 통해 임무 수행 중인 장병과 군무원들이 편한 시간대에 부담 없이 헌혈에 동참할 수 있도록 여건을 조성했다.
충북혈액원도 헌혈 참여자에게 ‘두쫀쿠(두바이쫀득쿠키)’를 제공하며 참여 분위기를 높였다.
이번 행사를 기획한 항공의무대대장 김유경 소령(간사 52기)은 “헌혈은 잠깐의 시간을 내어 실천할 수 있는 가장 가치 있는 봉사로, 소중한 생명을 살리는 데 큰 도움이 된다”며 “앞으로도 국민과 함께하는 공군이 되기 위해 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
