대전 동구가 범죄 발생 시 초기 대응 속도를 높이기 위해 지역 내 순찰 거점을 확충했다. 구는 20일 주요 생활권 4곳에 ‘순찰차 전용 주차구역’을 추가로 설치하고 본격 운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
이번 조치는 ‘대전광역시 동구 주차장 조례’를 근거로 노상주차장 일부를 순찰차 전용 공간으로 지정하는 제도를 확대 적용한 것이다. 치안 수요가 집중되는 지점에 순찰차 상시 대기 공간을 확보해 출동 동선을 줄이고 현장 대응력을 높이겠다는 취지다.
