이번 행사는 전기 학위수여식과 연계해 졸업 직후 구직 공백을 최소화하고, 지속적인 취업 지원 서비스를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
행사장에는 졸업생 진로·취업 상담 전용 부스가 설치돼 1대 1 맞춤형 컨설팅이 진행됐다. 참가자들은 개인별 취업 준비도를 점검받고, 희망 직무에 맞춘 구인·구직 정보와 추천 채용 공고를 안내받았다. 이와 함께 대학일자리플러스센터 프로그램과 고용노동부의 국민취업지원제도 등 청년층 대상 정부 지원 정책도 소개됐다.
현장에는 상담 외에도 다양한 이벤트관이 운영돼 눈길을 끌었다. 취업 준비에 실질적 도움이 되는 취업 사진 촬영권(헤어·메이크업 패키지 포함)을 제공했으며, 커피 트럭과 푸드 부스, 즉석 사진 촬영 부스 등을 마련해 졸업의 의미를 더했다.
김중호 취업지원팀장은 “졸업은 끝이 아니라 사회로 나아가는 새로운 출발”이라며 “이번 초기 상담을 통해 구축한 데이터베이스를 기반으로 미취업 졸업생이 취업에 성공할 때까지 맞춤형 지원과 네트워크 연계를 지속하겠다”고 밝혔다.
