겨울철 혈액 수급 난조 해소 위해 공직자들 자발적 동참
2008년부터 매년 2회 정기 운영, 하반기에도 나눔 이어갈 예정

대전광역시교육청이 겨울철 혈액 수급 위기 극복을 위해 19년째 변함없는 생명 나눔 활동을 펼치며 지역사회의 귀감이 되고 있다.
대전시교육청은 23일, 본청 주차장에서 소속 직원들이 참여하는 ‘2026년 상반기 사랑의 헌혈행사’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 겨울 방학 기간과 한파 등 계절적 요인으로 헌혈자가 급감하는 시기에 맞춰, 안정적인 혈액 공급을 돕고 공직 사회 내 나눔 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
교육청의 헌혈 사랑은 일회성 이벤트에 그치지 않는다. 지난 2008년 첫 발을 뗀 이후 올해로 19년 동안 매년 상·하반기 두 차례씩 정기적인 헌혈 행사를 이어오고 있다.
최근 헌혈 인구 감소로 혈액 수급 불안정이 상시화되는 상황 속에서도 교육청 직원들은 자발적인 동참으로 끈끈한 동료애와 생명 존중의 가치를 실천하고 있다.
헌혈에 참여한 직원들에게는 4시간의 봉사활동 실적 인정과 함께 소정의 기념품이 증정됐다. 아울러 B형·C형 간염 검사 및 간 기능 검사 등 8개 항목의 무료 혈액 검사가 병행되어 참여 직원들이 자신의 건강 상태를 점검하는 기회도 제공됐다.
고영규 대전시교육청 총무과장은 “과중한 업무 중에도 19년이라는 긴 세월 동안 헌혈에 앞장서 준 직원들에게 깊은 감사를 표한다”며, “이번 나눔이 헌혈에 대한 사회적 인식을 개선하고, 우리 공동체 속에 배려와 나눔의 정신이 깊게 뿌리내리는 마중물이 되기를 희망한다”고 전했다.
