브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT가 지난해 수출 전문 해외 전시회에 협력 기업들의 참여를 지원, 1000억원이 넘는 수출 성과를 거둔 데 이어, 올해도 글로벌 시장 공략을 확대한다.
KT는 오는 3월 2일부터 5일까지 스페인 바르셀로나에서 열리는 ‘MWC26’에서 ‘상생협력관’을 운영하고, 국내 중소벤처기업의 해외 진출을 지원한다고 24일 밝혔다.
상생협력관은 MWC가 열리는 피라 그란비아(Fira Granvia) 스타트업 전문 전시관인 4YFN(4 Years From Now) 특별관 8.1홀의 단독 부스로 조성된다. 4YFN은 글로벌 통신사와 벤처캐피털(VC), 전략적 투자자들의 방문이 집중되는 구역으로, 스타트업의 투자 유치와 사업 협력 논의가 활발히 이뤄지는 공간이다.
이번 전시에는 스튜디오프리윌루전, 이루온, 피치에이아이, 메이머스트, 랭코드, 씨플랫에이아이, 고우넷, 나비프라, 에이아이오투오, 에이아이포펫, 트위니, 인이지 총 12개 중소벤처기업이 참여한다. 참가사들은 AI 솔루션, 플랫폼, 로보틱스 등 AX(AI Transformation) 기반 기술을 선보이며 유럽 시장 진출을 모색한다.
KT는 단순 전시 지원을 넘어 협력사들의 실질적인 투자 및 수출 연계 프로그램을 병행한다. 유럽 현지 VC와 바이어를 초청한 투자/수출상담회를 운영하고, GSMA 공식 스폰서 세션인 ‘Start-up Pitching Sessions’를 통해 참여 기업의 IR 발표를 지원한다. 해당 프로그램은 GSMA와 협력해 마련됐다.
또한, KT는 참가 협력사들의 원활한 현지 수출 마케팅 활동을 지원하고자 항공, 숙박 등 협력사 임직원의 출장지원도 병행한다.
KT는 지난해 수출 전문 전시회를 통해 협력 기업의 해외 판로 개척을 지원했으며, 그 결과 1000억원을 웃도는 수출 실적을 달성한 바 있다. 이번 MWC 역시 참여 기업들이 실질적인 해외 진출성과를 확대하는 것을 목표로 한다.
KT 구매실장 이원준 전무는 “KT는 AI 등 신성장 분야에서 경쟁력을 갖춘 혁신 기업과의 협력을 확대하고 있다”며 “글로벌 시장에서 가시적인 성과를 창출할 수 있도록 지원을 강화하겠다”고 말했다.

It will host investment/export consultations with local European venture capitalists and buyers, and support participating companies' IR presentations through the "Start-up Pitching Sessions," an official GSMA sponsorship session. Furthermore, KT will support the smooth local export marketing activities of participating partners by providing travel support, including airfare and accommodations, for their employees.
Last year, KT supported its partner companies in developing overseas markets through specialized export exhibitions, resulting in exports exceeding KRW 100 billion. This year's MWC also aims to help participating companies expand their tangible overseas expansion.
