[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 3월 3일 36년 만에 정월대보름과 겹치는 개기월식 관측 기회가 온다.
김해문화관광재단이 운영하는 김해천문대가 정월대보름을 맞아 ‘붉은 보름달의 밤’ 관측회를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 정월대보름달 관측을 비롯해 스마트폰 천체사진 촬영, 야외 대형화면 실시간 송출, 기념 배지 증정 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 마련된다.
특히 이날은 1990년 이후 36년 만에 정월대보름과 겹치는 개기월식이 예정되어 있어 더욱 특별하다.
부분월식부터 개기 시작, 최대식에 이르기까지 시간대별 달의 변화를 천체망원경을 통해 면밀히 관찰할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
또한 야외광장에서는 달의 모습을 대형 화면으로 실시간 송출해 누구나 편안하게 정월대보름달을 감상할 수 있는 자리도 함께 마련된다.
김해천문대 이현규 담당자는 “정월대보름과 겹치는 개기월식은 매우 드문 천문현상으로, 시민들에게 잊지 못할 특별한 밤하늘 경험을 제공하고자 이번 행사를 준비했다”며 “가족과 함께 달의 변화를 직접 관찰하며 과학에 대한 흥미를 키우는 뜻깊은 시간이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
이번 관측회는 3일 오후 7시부터 9시 40분까지 진행되며, 김해천문대 홈페이지를 통해 사전예약제로 운영된다.
총 4회에 걸쳐 회차당 70명씩 참여 가능하며, 참가 요금은 성인 4천원, 청소년 3천원, 어린이 2천500원이며, 기상 상황에 따라 행사가 취소될 수 있다.
