박완수 경상남도지사가 25일 도청 대회의실에서 열린 ‘지역 상생 교육 거버넌스 간담회’에서 이같이 밝히며, 지자체와 교육 현장 사이의 해묵은 경계를 허물고 ‘아이 키우기 좋은 경남’을 위한 전방위적 협업을 선언했다.
이날 간담회에는 도내 초·중·고교 학교운영위원장과 학부모 등 100여 명이 참석해 현장의 고충을 쏟아냈다. 박 지사는 특히 청년 유출 문제의 근본 해법을 ‘교육의 지역화’에서 찾았다.

박 지사는 "교육을 대학과 초·중·고교로 파편화해 보던 기존의 시각에서 벗어나야 한다"며, "중·고등학교 시절부터 내가 자란 경남에서 충분히 미래를 설계할 수 있다는 믿음을 심어주는 것이 청년 유출을 막는 핵심 열쇠"라고 진단했다.
이날 자유토론에서는 교육지원 바우처 지원 금액 현실화와 학부모 맞춤형 교육 확대 필요성이 제기됐다. 참석자들은 물가 상승 등을 고려한 학년별 지원 조정과 학부모 대상 특화 프로그램 운영을 건의했다.
이에 대해 박 지사는 “지원 기준과 규모를 면밀히 검토해 합리적인 조정 방안을 마련하겠다”며 “시군과 협의해 구체적인 실행 방안을 정하고, 필요한 경우 추가경정예산 반영도 검토하겠다”고 밝혔다. 학부모 교육과 관련해서도 “실질적인 도움이 되는 맞춤형 프로그램을 마련하고, 예산 확보 방안을 함께 검토하겠다”고 말했다.
