[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시는 기후변화와 농촌 고령화, 인력 부족 등 농업환경 변화에 선제적으로 대응하고 지속가능한 농업 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해 밀양 '2050 미래농업'프로젝트를 본격 추진한다.
시는 농업 정책의 체계적인 수립과 실행력을 높이기 위해 밀양 '2050 미래농업'발전협의회를 구성하고 중장기 발전전략 수립을 위한 연구용역에 착수했다.
이번 프로젝트는 △밀양 주산지 품목 구체화 발전계획 △스마트농업 기반 구축 및 확산 △농산물 고부가가치화 △지속가능한 농업 기반 구축 등 4대 핵심 전략을 중심으로 추진된다.
시는 이번 프로젝트를 통해 5년내 밀양시 평균 농업소득 5000만원 진입을 목표로 설정했다.
기존의 형식적인 용역에서 탈피해 농업인 단체, 전문가, 행정 관계자가 참여하는 협의회를 중심으로 '현장 밀착형 실천 과제'를 도출한다는 방침이다.
밀양시 관계자는 "이번 프로젝트는 단순 지원을 넘어 밀양 농업의 체질을 개선하고 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 종합 전략"이라며 "스마트 기술과 젊은 인재를 중심으로 대한민국을 선도하는 미래농업 도시로 도약할 수 있도록 모든 행정 역량을 집중하겠다"고 강조했다.

Miryang City is launching the '2050 Future Agriculture' project in earnest to proactively address changing agricultural conditions, such as climate change, an aging rural population, and labor shortages, and to secure sustainable agricultural competitiveness.
To systematically develop and implement agricultural policies, the city established the Miryang '2050 Future Agriculture' Development Council and initiated research to develop a mid- to long-term development strategy.
