【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈)가 ‘2025년 K-MOOC 참여기관협의회 컨퍼런스’에서 2026년 회장교로 선출됐다. 이번 선출은 대학의 디지털 기반 교육 운영 역량과 K-MOOC 사업 성과를 대외적으로 인정받은 결과로 평가된다.

대구한의대는 앞서 2025년 전국대학이러닝협의회 회장교를 맡아 대학 간 이러닝 협력 체계를 강화하고 온라인 교육의 질적 향상을 이끌어 왔다. 이러한 운영 경험을 토대로 2026년에는 K-MOOC 참여기관협의회 회장교까지 수행하게 되면서 디지털 기반 고등교육 분야에서 연속적인 리더십을 이어가게 됐다.
대학은 2026년 3월부터 2027년 2월까지 1년간 회장교로서 K-MOOC 사업의 질적·양적 성장을 도모하고, 참여기관 간 협력과 소통을 강화하는 데 중추적 역할을 수행할 예정이다.
K-MOOC(한국형 온라인 공개강좌)는 대학과 기관의 우수 강좌를 발굴해 전 국민에게 온라인으로 무료 제공함으로써 평생학습 수요에 부응하고, 고등교육 콘텐츠 확산을 목표로 운영되는 사업이다.
김부성 노마드교육혁신처 K-MEDI디지털교육센터장은 “회장교 선출은 대학의 온라인 교육 역량과 운영 성과를 인정받은 결과”라며 “참여기관과의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 K-MOOC 교육 품질을 한층 높이고, 디지털 기반 평생학습 생태계 조성에 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 대구한의대는 2024년 ‘글로컬대학30’ 사업에 선정돼 지역과 세계를 연결하는 혁신 교육 모델을 구축하고 있으며, K-MOOC를 비롯한 다양한 온라인 콘텐츠를 통해 고등교육과 평생학습 영역을 지속적으로 확장해 나가고 있다.

Daegu Haany University (President Byun Chang-hoon) was elected as the 2026 Chair at the 2025 K-MOOC Participating Institutions Council Conference. This election is seen as a recognition of the university's digital-based education operation capabilities and the achievements of the K-MOOC project.
Daegu Haany University previously served as the Chair of the National University E-Learning Council in 2025, strengthening inter-university e-learning cooperation and leading the way in improving the quality of online education. Building on this operational experience, Daegu Haany University will now serve as Chair of the K-MOOC Participating Institutions Council in 2026, furthering its leadership in digital-based higher education.
As Chair of the Council for one year, from March 2026 to February 2027, the university will play a pivotal role in promoting the qualitative and quantitative growth of the K-MOOC project and strengthening cooperation and communication among participating institutions.
K-MOOC (Korean Massive Open Online Course) is a program designed to meet the demand for lifelong learning and expand higher education content by discovering excellent courses from universities and institutions and offering them online to the entire nation free of charge.
Kim Bu-seong, Director of the K-MEDI Digital Education Center at the Ministry of Education Innovation, stated, "The election of the president is a recognition of the university's online education capabilities and operational performance. We will further enhance the quality of K-MOOC education through close collaboration with participating institutions and contribute to the creation of a digital-based lifelong learning ecosystem."
Meanwhile, Daegu Haany University was selected for the "Glocal University 30" project in 2024 and is building an innovative education model that connects the region and the world. Through various online content, including K-MOOC, the university is continuously expanding its reach in higher education and lifelong learning.
