세종특별자치시가 글로벌 화장품 기업과 국가고시 인쇄 전문업체를 한꺼번에 끌어안으며 지역 경제에 강력한 동력을 부여했다.
세종시에 따르면 3일 시청 세종실에서 열린 투자협약식은 1858억 원 규모의 공장 신설·이전 프로젝트와 431명 고용 창출 약속으로 지역 발전의 새 장을 열었다.
화장품 제조 강자 한국콜마가 중국 베이징 공장을 철수하고 세종 전의일반산업단지로 국내 복귀를 선언한 점이 가장 큰 화제다.
올해 1호 유턴기업으로 선정된 이 회사는 2028년까지 1,733억 원을 투자해 9,851㎡ 부지에 기초화장품 공장을 신축한다. 글로벌 공급망 재편 속 국내 생산 강화 전략으로, 지역민 우선 채용을 통해 세종을 장기 거점으로 삼겠다는 의지를 보였다.
이에 맞춰 국가고시 시험지 인쇄 전문업체 대인프린테크도 세종의 행정수도 이점을 활용해 올해 안에 전동면 벤처밸리산단으로 전면 이전한다. 총 125억 원 규모 투자로 정부 부처와의 근접성을 최대로 끌어올리며 사업 경쟁력을 높일 전망이다.
