대전광역시 서구가 다가오는 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 공무원 400여 명을 대상으로 철저한 정치적 중립 교육을 실시했다.
3일 구청 구봉산홀에서 열린 월례 소통 행사와 연계된 이번 교육은 선거법 위반 사례를 중심으로 공직자의 의무를 재확인하는 자리였다.
서구선관위 박산성 사무관이 강사로 나서 공무원의 정치적 중립 의무, 선거 관여 금지 행위, 실제 위반 사례와 유의점을 생생하게 짚었다.
단순 이론 강의가 아닌 실무 중심 접근으로 직원들은 선거철 '금지선'이 어디까지인지 명확히 파악할 수 있었다.
서구 관계자는 "공정한 선거는 공무원의 중립 준수에서 출발한다"며 "준법 의식을 강화해 구정 신뢰를 지키겠다"고 밝혔다.
