【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=일본 글로벌 IT기업 ISFNET가 영진전문대학교에 2천만 원의 장학금을 기탁했다. 2018년 처음으로 장학금을 전달한 이후, 지금까지 누적된 금액이 1억5천만 원을 넘어섰다.
영진전문대학교는 3일 총장실에서 장학금 전달식을 열었다. 이 자리에는 ISFNET의 와타나베 요키유시 회장과 모또무라 부사장, 허옥인 한국법인 대표가 참석했으며, 영진전문대에서는 최재영 총장과 류용희 컴퓨터정보계열 부장 등이 함께했다. 와타나베 회장은 이날 직접 장학금을 전달했다.
ISFNET 관계자들은 이날 오전 AI글로벌IT과 교수진과 간담회를 갖고, 취업 연계 프로그램과 산학협력 강화 방안을 논의했다. 이어 AI글로벌IT과 2학년 학생들을 대상으로 기업설명회도 진행했다. 오후에는 3학년 및 취업 준비 학생들과 만나 일본 취업 준비 과정과 현지 근무 환경에 대해 안내하는 간담회를 열었다.
ISFNET은 2017년 영진전문대 컴퓨터정보계열과 국제연계 주문식교육 협약을 체결한 뒤, 현장 수요를 반영한 맞춤형 인재 양성에 힘써왔다. 그 결과, 올해 졸업생까지 포함해 누적 111명의 학생이 ISFNET에 취업했다.
최재영 총장은 “9년간 이어진 장학금 기탁과 산학협력이 학생들의 글로벌 진로 선택에 큰 힘이 되고 있다”며 “앞으로도 기업과의 협력을 통해 해외 취업 기회를 계속 넓히겠다”고 밝혔다.
