동의한방촌은 경상북도 웰니스 관광지로 지정된 데 이어 2025년 경주에서 개최되는 APEC 정상회의 체험지정시설로 참여할 예정으로, 한방문화와 웰니스 관광을 결합한 지역 관광 거점으로 주목받고 있다.
동의한방촌에서는 한방의 과학화와 산업화를 기반으로 다양한 체험 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 주요 프로그램으로는 ▲한방 검진·진료 및 공진단·경옥고 제조 체험 ▲에센스·화장품·향수 등 웰니스 뷰티케어 체험 ▲산소흡입·약차 체험·재활운동·싱잉볼 명상 등 치유 프로그램이 마련돼 있다. 또한 루프탑 한방 패밀리로드와 약초경관공원 체험 프로그램도 운영해 가족 단위 방문객들로부터 호응을 얻고 있다.
특히 지역 주민과 관광객을 대상으로 한 맞춤형 체험 프로그램 확대와 안정적인 운영 전략이 지속적인 흑자 달성의 주요 요인으로 평가된다.
