[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 의령군은 지난해 여름철 수해 복구사업과 2026년 군민과의 대화 건의사업 반영 등 다수 군민이 혜택을 받을 수 있는 예산을 대거 포함한 522억 원 규모의 제1회 추가경정예산이 군의회에서 원안대로 가결됐다고 9일 밝혔다.
이번 추경으로 의령군의 올해 예산 규모는 본예산 5,387억 원에서 522억 원이 증가한 총 5,909억 원으로 확정됐다.
군은 이번 제1회 추가경정예산을 통해 주민 편의와 복리 증진 등 군민 삶의 질 향상에 중점을 두고 주요 현안사업에 재정 역량을 집중했다고 설명했다.
특히 장례지원비 지원사업 2억7,000만 원, 노인 이·미용비 및 목욕비 지원 3억 원, 다자녀가정 튼튼수당 5억9,000만 원 등이 증액 편성되면서 전 세대를 아우르는 복지서비스 강화에 힘을 실었다.
또한 올해 2월 13개 읍·면을 순회하며 주민들의 불편사항과 지역 현안을 청취한 ‘군민과의 대화’에서 건의된 123개 사업 가운데 51억 원도 이번 추경에 반영됐다.
농업 분야 지원도 확대됐다. 농어업인수당 10억 원, 농작물 재해보험료 지원 7억2천만 원 등을 편성해 군민 대다수를 차지하는 농업인 지원을 강화했다.
이와 함께 지난해 7월 집중호우로 인한 피해 복구와 재해 예방을 위해 ▲산사태 피해 복구사업 16억 원 ▲하권마을 재해취약지역 정비공사 10억 원 ▲마쌍지구 개선복구사업 89억 원 ▲지방도 1013호선 대의 신전1지구 수해복구공사 15억 원 ▲면도 101호선(대의 추산지구) 재해복구사업 12억 원 ▲의령공설운동장 재해복구사업 10억 원 등 관련 예산도 집중 편성했다.
오태완 군수는 “이번 제1회 추가경정예산은 수해 피해 복구와 재해 예방에 투자하면서도 민생 안정과 지역경제 회복에 실질적인 도움이 되는 사업 중심으로 편성했다”고 말했다.
