[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] BNK경남은행이 지역 내 발달장애인들의 건강한 경제생활을 돕고 금융 문턱을 낮추기 위해 든든한 ‘금융 동반자’ 역할을 자처하고 나섰다.
경남은행은 10일 경상남도장애인가족지원센터와 ‘금융교육 지원 업무협약’을 체결하고, 장애인가족의 삶의 질 향상과 상생금융 실천을 위한 본격적인 협력에 돌입했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약의 핵심은 발달장애인들이 복잡한 금융 개념을 쉽고 재미있게 익힐 수 있도록 설계된 ‘길동무 금융교육 프로그램’ 운영이다. 이 프로그램은 발달장애인의 특성을 고려한 체험 활동 중심으로 구성됐다.
경남은행은 교육의 실효성을 높이기 위해 은행 내 금융교육 전문가를 현장에 전면 배치한다. 전문가들은 경상남도장애인가족지원센터 산하 거제, 진주, 의령, 김해 등 도내 6개 장애인가족지원센터를 직접 방문해 밀착형 교육을 진행할 계획이다.
금융소비자보호 담당임원 김경옥 상무는 “포용적 금융 실천의 일환으로 지역 장애인들을 위한 맞춤형 금융교육 프로그램을 개발하게 됐다. 금융교육 개발에서 끝나는 것이 아니라 지속적인 운영을 통해 장애인들의 경제적 자립과 사회 참여 확대 등을 지원할 예정이다. 앞으로도 장애인과 노인 등 금융 취약계층의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
