[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 오태완 의령군수가 정례조회에서 군민의 걱정을 덜어주는 '민생안심 3책'을 강조하며 군정 방향을 공유했다.
오 군수는 10일 정례조회에서 최근 발표한 경상남도 사회조사 결과 중 '어제 걱정'항목을 언급했다.
조사 결과 가운데 의령군은 이 항목에서 경남 18개 시군 가운데 가장 낮은 점수를 기록했다.
오 군수는 "군민이 일상에서 느끼는 걱정이 적다는 것은 행정이 군민 삶에 긍정적인 변화를 만들고 있다는 의미"라고 말했다.
그러면서 이러한 결과의 배경으로 의령군이 최근 역점을 두고 추진하고 있는 '민생안심 3책'을 강조했다.
'민생안심 3책'은 버스완전공영제, 민생현장기동대, 장례지원비 지원사업 등 교통 생활 복지 분야에서 군민 삶 전반을 행정이 '책임'지겠다는 정책이다.
버스완전공영제는 지난달 27일 출범식을 열고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다.
교통을 산업이 아닌 복지의 관점에서 바라보는 정책으로 군민의 이동권을 공공이 책임진다.
무료로 운행되는 '의령 빵빵버스'의 '빵빵'은 '요금 0원, 이동권 100%'를 의미한다.
민생현장기동대는 전등 수도꼭지 등 소규모 생활 수리를 현장에서 즉시 지원하는 생활밀착형 서비스로 주민들 사이에서 '효자대행서비스'로 불릴 만큼 높은 호응을 얻고 있다.
올해는 지원 대상을 경로당까지 확대해 어르신 생활공간 관리도 강화한다.
또한 장례지원비 지원사업은 의령군에 1년 이상 주민등록을 두고 거주한 군민이 사망할 경우 연고자에게 장례비 일부를 지원하는 제도다.
기존 복지제도가 주로 생존 주민 중심으로 운영된 것과 달리 사망 이후 장례 부담을 공적 영역에서 지원하는 점이 특징이다.
한편 경남 사회조사 결과 의령군은 전반적인 생활과 행복도 등 삶의 만족도 항목에서 도내 상위권을 기록했으며 주거환경 만족도 역시 높은 평가를 받았다.
향후 10년 이상 계속 거주 의향은 도내 2위를 기록하는 등 의령에 대한 중 장기 정주 의사가 높은 것으로 나타났다.
