【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구테크노파크(원장 김한식, 이하 대구TP)는 문화체육관광부와 국민체육진흥공단이 추진하는 ‘2026년 스포츠산업 창업도약 지원사업’에 참여할 창업기업을 오는 3월 24일까지 모집한다고 밝혔다.

스포츠산업 창업도약 지원사업은 스포츠산업 분야에서 창업 3년 이상 7년 미만 기업이 시장 경쟁력을 확보하고 성장 단계로 도약할 수 있도록 사업화 자금과 창업 보육 프로그램을 지원하는 사업이다. 또한 타 창업지원사업을 수료한 이력이 있는 창업 3년 미만 기업도 일정 요건을 충족할 경우 신청할 수 있다.
이번 모집에서는 총 14개 기업을 선발하며, 선정 기업에는 최소 3,500만 원에서 최대 6,500만 원(평균 약 5,000만 원)의 사업화 지원금이 제공된다. 지원 기간은 2026년 4월부터 12월까지 약 9개월간이다.
선정 기업에는 사업화 자금과 함께 창업 교육, 전문가 멘토링, 투자 연계 등 성장 단계에 맞춘 보육 프로그램이 제공된다. 특히 사업모델 고도화와 시장 검증, 투자유치 역량 강화를 중심으로 체계적인 창업 지원이 이뤄질 예정이다.
대구TP는 GPU 인프라와 블록체인 플랫폼을 활용해 AI·데이터 기반 스포츠테크 창업 교육과 실습을 운영하고, 센터 인프라를 통한 실증 지원과 글로벌 전시회 참가를 연계해 국내외 시장 진출도 지원할 계획이다.
강대익 대구TP AX산업본부장은 “스포츠산업 창업기업이 데스밸리를 극복하고 시장 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있도록 기술 기반 창업 지원을 강화하고 있다”며 “AI와 블록체인 등 디지털 기술을 접목한 스포츠테크 기업이 글로벌 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Technopark Recruiting Startups for Sports Industry Startup Support Project
Daegu Technopark (Director Kim Han-sik, hereinafter referred to as Daegu TP) announced that it is accepting applications for startups until March 24th for the "2026 Sports Industry Startup Support Project," a program spearheaded by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.
The Sports Industry Startup Support Project provides commercialization funding and incubation programs to companies in the sports industry that have been established for three to seven years to secure market competitiveness and advance to the growth stage. Companies that have completed other startup support programs and have been established for less than three years are also eligible to apply if they meet certain requirements.
A total of 14 companies will be selected for this round of applications, and selected companies will receive commercialization support ranging from a minimum of 35 million won to a maximum of 65 million won (an average of approximately 50 million won). The support period will be approximately nine months, from April to December 2026.
Selected companies will receive commercialization funding, as well as incubation programs tailored to their growth stage, including startup training, expert mentoring, and investment connections. Systematic startup support will focus on business model advancement, market validation, and strengthening investment attraction capabilities.
Daegu TP plans to utilize GPU infrastructure and blockchain platforms to provide AI and data-based sports tech startup training and practical training. The center's infrastructure will also support demonstrations and participation in global exhibitions, supporting domestic and international market entry.
Daegu TP AX Industry Headquarters Director Kang Dae-ik stated, "We are strengthening technology-based startup support to help sports industry startups overcome the 'Death Valley' and secure market competitiveness. We will actively support sports tech companies that integrate digital technologies like AI and blockchain to secure global competitiveness."
