【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교(총장 최재영)가 고용노동부와 한국산업인력공단이 주관하는 ‘2026년 해외취업연수사업’에서 K-Move스쿨 3개 과정과 新청해진대학 1개 과정에 선정됐다. 이에 따라 해외 취업 지원이 더욱 탄력을 받을 전망이다.
영진전문대는 이번에 선정된 과정을 통해 일본 취업을 희망하는 기계, 전자, AI, 소프트웨어 분야 재학생에게 체계적인 교육과 연수, 취업 연계 프로그램을 확대할 방침이다. 구체적으로 K-Move스쿨의 일본 기계자동차설계 전문가, 일본 전자회로설계 전문가, 일본 AI·DX 기반 SW 엔지니어 양성과정과 新청해진대학 사업이 포함됐다.
新청해진대학 사업은 외국어와 직무 역량을 함께 키우고 해외 취업까지 연계해주는 프로그램이다. 올해부터는 산업과 직무 중심의 ‘해외취업 연계형’으로 운영 체계를 바꿔, 학생들이 실제 취업으로 이어질 수 있도록 중점을 뒀다.
그동안 영진전문대는 일본 기업과의 맞춤형 교육과 실무 연계 네트워크를 기반으로 최근 10년간 매년 100명 이상을 해외에 취업시켰다. 교육부의 고등교육 취업통계(2024년 졸업생 기준)에 따르면, 영진전문대는 졸업생 73명이 일본 등 해외 기업에 취업해 전국 전문대학 중 1위에 올랐다. 특히 2016년부터 2026년까지 누적 해외취업 인원은 1,043명으로, 국내 모든 2·4년제 대학 가운데 최다 실적을 기록했다. 대표적으로 소프트뱅크, 라쿠텐, 야후재팬 등 글로벌 기업에 진출한 사례도 눈길을 끈다.
최재영 총장은 “이번 선정은 우리 대학이 쌓아온 산업체 네트워크와 주문식 교육 역량의 결과”라며 “앞으로도 어학, 직무교육, 현지 취업 연계를 한층 더 강화해 학생들의 해외 취업 기회를 꾸준히 넓히겠다”고 밝혔다.

Starting this year, the operational system has been restructured into an industry- and job-oriented ‘overseas employment linkage type,’ placing emphasis on ensuring that students can secure actual employment. Over the past decade, Yeongjin College has placed more than 100 students in overseas employment every year, based on customized education and practical networking with Japanese companies. According to the Ministry of Education's higher education employment statistics (based on 2024 graduates), Yeongjin College ranked first among junior colleges nationwide, with 73 graduates employed by overseas companies, including those in Japan. Notably, the cumulative number of students employed overseas from 2016 to 2026 stands at 1,043, marking the highest performance among all two- and four-year universities in Korea. Notable examples include graduates entering global companies such as SoftBank, Rakuten, and Yahoo Japan.
President Choi Jae-young stated, "This selection is the result of the industry networks and customized education capabilities our college has built," adding, "We will continue to steadily expand overseas employment opportunities for our students by further strengthening language training, vocational education, and local employment linkages."
