임진왜란 3대 대첩 가운데 하나인 행주대첩의 승리를 기리는 제433주년 행주대첩제가 고양 행주산성에서 엄숙하게 봉행됐다.
행주대첩 승전 433주년을 맞아 행주산성 충장사에서 열린 이번 행사는 임진왜란 당시 민·관·군과 부녀자들이 힘을 모아 국난을 극복했던 행주대첩의 역사적 의미를 되새기고, 충장공 권율 도원수를 비롯한 호국영령들의 숭고한 위업과 희생정신을 계승하기 위해 마련됐다.

고양문화원이 주관한 이날 행사에는 이동환 고양특례시장과 신현철 고양특례시의회 부의장, 이봉운 고양문화원장이 헌관으로 참여해 제례를 올렸다.
초헌관은 이동환 시장이 맡았으며, 아헌관은 신현철 부의장, 종헌관은 이봉운 원장이 각각 맡아 정성을 다해 잔을 올렸다.
특히 올해 행사는 토요일에 개최되면서 평년보다 많은 시민과 관광객의 발길이 이어졌다.
충장사 일대에는 행사 시작 전부터 방문객들이 모여들었고, 시민들은 장엄하게 진행되는 전통 제례 의식을 지켜보며 행주대첩에 담긴 호국정신의 의미를 되새겼다.

행사는 개식과 국민의례를 시작으로 전향례, 초헌례, 아헌례, 종헌례, 음복례, 망료례 순으로 약 1시간 동안 진행됐다.
제례악이 울려 퍼지는 가운데 엄숙하고 장중한 분위기 속에서 봉행된 의식은 분향과 기념촬영으로 마무리됐다.
