과천시가 오는 27일 전국적인 ‘통합돌봄(일상생활돌봄) 제도’ 시행을 앞두고, 시민들에게 끊김 없는 돌봄 서비스를 제공하기 위한 민관 협력 체계를 완성했다. 시는 지난 12일 시장 집무실에서 지역 내 주요 서비스 제공기관 4곳과 업무협약을 체결하고 본격적인 행정 절차에 돌입했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약에는 과천노인복지센터, 사랑나비 사회적협동조합, ㈜현대그린푸드, 민달팽이 협동조합 등 돌봄 분야에서 전문성을 갖춘 기관들이 참여했다. 시와 각 기관은 돌봄이 필요한 시민이 소외되지 않도록 지역 내 자원을 효율적으로 연계하고 관리하는 데 힘을 모으기로 했다.
협약에 따라 과천시는 돌봄이 필요한 대상자를 발굴해 적합한 기관에 의뢰하고, 전체적인 사업 운영과 서비스 품질 관리를 총괄한다. 서비스를 제공하는 4개 기관은 전문 인력을 투입해 안전 관리와 개인정보 보호 등 협약 사항을 철저히 이행하며 현장에서 실질적인 돌봄을 수행하게 된다.
통합돌봄 제도가 시행되면 대상자의 욕구에 맞춰 가사 지원부터 이동, 위생, 식사, 주거 지원까지 일상생활 전반에 걸친 맞춤형 서비스가 제공된다. 시민들은 자신의 형편과 상황에 꼭 필요한 도움을 골라 받을 수 있어 돌봄 공백이 크게 해소될 것으로 기대된다.
