고양특례시가 아이들이 도심 속에서도 자연과 교감하며 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 돕는 ‘2026년 유아숲 교육 프로그램’ 운영에 나선다.
시는 오는 3월 23일까지 프로그램에 참여할 유아교육기관을 모집한다고 16일 밝혔다.
유아숲 교육은 아이들이 숲에서 마음껏 뛰놀며 오감을 통해 계절의 변화를 직접 느끼고, 자연의 소중함을 배우는 체계적인 생태 교육 프로그램이다.
단순한 체험을 넘어 정서 발달과 창의력 향상에도 긍정적인 영향을 주는 교육으로 평가받고 있으며, 지난해에는 1만 명 이상의 유아가 참여해 학부모와 교육 현장에서 큰 호응을 얻은 바 있다.
올해 프로그램은 4월부터 12월 초까지 운영되며, 고양시 내 조성된 3개 유아숲체험원에서 진행된다.
안곡습지 유아숲체험원에서는 습지 생태계 관찰과 수변 식물 체험이 이뤄지고, 정발산 유아숲체험원에서는 도심 중심부의 산림 자원을 활용한 다양한 숲 놀이 활동이 펼쳐진다.
성라공원 유아숲체험원은 덕양구 지역 아이들을 위한 근거리 자연 체험 공간으로, 접근성이 뛰어나 인근 유치원과 어린이집의 관심이 높다.
참여 대상은 고양시 소재 유치원과 어린이집으로, 정기형 프로그램 참여를 희망하는 기관은 3월 23일 오후 4시까지 신청서식을 작성해 전자우편으로 접수하면 된다.
