앞서 보건소는 3월 9일부터 3월 12일까지 4일간 의료 접근이 어려운 취약계층 470여 명을 대상으로 ‘의료사각지대 이동 결핵검진’을 실시해 흉부 영상 촬영 등을 통한 결핵 조기 발견 활동을 진행했다.
이와 함께 옥천군보건소에서는 관내 거주 65세 이상 어르신을 대상으로 연 1회 무료 결핵검진을 실시하고 있으며, 결핵 의심 증상이 있는 경우에는 객담검사를 무료로 진행해 결핵환자 조기 발견에 적극적으로 나서고 있다.
