국토부 공모 ‘K-드론배송’ 실증도시 선정…
시민공원서 ‘딸기 하이패스 배송’ 등 미래형 서비스 추진

충남 논산시가 국토교통부와 항공안전기술원이 주관하는 ‘2026년 드론 실증도시 구축사업’ 공모에 최종 선정되며 미래 모빌리티 산업의 거점으로 도약한다.
논산시는 이번 선정을 통해 섬이나 공원 등 물류 사각지대에 생필품과 음식을 신속하게 전달하는 ‘K-드론배송’ 상용화에 본격적으로 나선다.
논산시는 이번 사업을 2027년 개최 예정인 ‘논산세계딸기산업엑스포’와 적극 연계할 방침이다. 주요 운영 지역인 논산시민공원 일원에서 엑스포 관광객들이 구매한 딸기 등 지역 농산물을 주차장까지 드론으로 직접 배달하는 ‘드론하이패스배송’ 모델을 구축한다.
이를 통해 관광객들은 무거운 짐을 들고 이동하는 불편 없이 5~15분 내외로 물건을 수령할 수 있게 된다.
드론의 활용 범위는 단순 배송을 넘어 공공 서비스 분야로도 확장된다. 시는 탑정호 수변공원 인근에서 농산물 드론 배송과 지역 순찰 서비스를 결합한 모델을 선보인다.
드론을 활용해 탑정호의 수질 상태를 실시간으로 모니터링하고 생태계 보전 활동을 펼치는 등 자연환경 관리 부문에서도 혁신적인 기술 도입을 추진한다.
