(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 18일, 광견병 발생을 예방하기 위해 오는 4월 1일부터 21일까지 2026년 상반기 광견병 예방접종을 관내 26개 동물병원에서 실시한다고 밝혔다.
남동구에 따르면, 예방접종 대상은 생후 2개월 이상 개 중에서 광견병 예방접종을 받지 않았거나, 예방접종 후 1년이 경과한 개가 해당한다.
접종 방법은 진행 기간 중 예방접종 사업 지정 동물병원에서 접종 후 접종내역서를 작성하고, 정부 지원 보조금 50%가 지원되어 1회 접종당 자부담 비용 5,000원만 해당 동물병원에 지불하면 된다.
이번 상반기 광견병 예방접종은 연간 총 5,000두 중 상반기 배정량 2,700두를 선착순으로 예방접종 할 계획이다.
남동구 관계자는 “광견병 예방접종 사업 지정 동물병원은 남동구청 홈페이지에서 확인 가능하며, 기타 문의 사항은 농축수산과로 연락하면 친절히 안내받을 수 있다”고 말했다.
