대구 동구, 안전시책 평가 ‘최우수’ 선정

이번 평가는 각 구·군의 안전 의지와 재난 대비 체계, 안전점검 활동 등을 종합적으로 살펴 우수사례를 발굴하고 안전관리 역량을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

동구는 365일 24시간 운영되는 재난안전 상황실을 구축하고, 모든 행정복지센터에 재난상황 전파시스템을 도입해 현장 대응 체계를 한층 강화했다는 점에서 좋은 평가를 받았다.

또한, 노후 어린이 시설물에 대한 선제적인 점검과 보수, 대규모 산불 대응을 주제로 한 안전한국훈련, 비상 대비태세 확립을 위한 충무훈련 등을 통해 실전 대응 능력을 높였다는 분석이다.

김태운 동구청장 권한대행은 “이번 수상은 전 직원과 현장 대응 인력 모두의 노력이 만든 값진 성과”라며 “재난 예방과 신속한 대응 체계를 더욱 탄탄히 해 구민이 안심할 수 있는 안전한 도시를 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
